Broken hearts traslated by Ann Wood
BROKEN HEARTSThere are many broken hearts
with deep, open wounds...
People hiding their faces,
for the love of a matter as it becomes.
They look somehow with ridicule, skeptical-
they even wave their hands in jest.
They describe it in cynical words-
bored turn their heads.
These people are deeply wounded,
to madness, even to oblivion-
this pain and all the scars
behind the walls at home leave.
They do not trust anyone or anything.
They repel with an indifference.
But they carry hearths in their hearts.
And they long to be loved.
