I’m a child of my gramma’s tune

Cradled bowl and hand mix better

Flour sugar eggs and more

Lemon juice and cream

Baking soda baking powder

combining now to make a dream

Fold in the berries watch them scatter

Bright and fresh they soon combine

Butter the pan pour the batter

Oven at temp forty minutes time

Ready now it’s fully risen

Golden top for honey and cinnamon 

Rest to cool on a countertop

A slice or two it hard to stop
