Roosters day by Ann Wood
TODAY IS A ROOSTER'S DAY. HAPPY HOLIDAY TO MY BEAUTIFUL BOYS! TO BE HEALTHY, I LOVE YOU.The Holy Church has listed today the Feast of the Lord's Assumption as one of the 12 most generous Christian holidays. In the folk calendar, February 2 is famous as Rooster's Day. The day is cherished for the health of the cattle.
It is also called Winter Simeon's Day or the Holy Mother of God. On this day, it is not cut, cut, and split, so all sharp objects are hidden - the ax is driven into the log, and the knife - struck in the iron. It is not spun, it is not woven, it is not sewn or knitted, it is not cooked, and the bread is cut the day before. In some parts of the country, the day is also called Rooster's Day, associated with an ancient legend. She says that King Herod killed all the newborns to find the new king. To save her beloved son, the Virgin Mary marked her home and all the neighboring gates with the blood of a decapitated rooster. Bulgarians celebrate St. Peter's Day for the health of young children. Early in the morning in the homes where there is a little boy, a sacrifice is slaughtered - a black rooster. Ritual food is prepared from it, and small cakes are baked, distributed to relatives and neighbors.
