Thoughts while turning on the tap at the kitchen sink
Consider Water
Consider water
Ubiquitous
Life to those who thirst
Death in flood and storm
Sweet in bubbling springs
Toxic to us if sea
Fluid extraordinaire
Lubricant to liquify
Harnessed meekly in
Kitchen Factory and lab
Yet wild in icebergs rapids
Raging falls and frothing seas
A beast of elemental power
Tamed by man but only just
As balance is it’s only tether
Out of which it mysteriously
Either disappears or rages
