Bunny Beware

The sun was hot upon my face today

A welcome source of warming emergence

Long gone since autumn sun slanted it’s rays

To caress the far Southern Hemisphere

My sleeping garden at its warming touch

Stirred awake the clusters of new green shoots

With noble effort they stretch toward the sun

Following  its course it transits the sky

Fragile defenceless they  proudly display

Their bright green selves for a rabbit's light snack

They have a method that saves them from prey

They’re weapon's secret they’re toxic you see

Bunny beware if you see this salad

You’re dead  If these tasties tease your palate

Curiosity killed the rabbit? Solid effort! Many thanks.
