Reconciliation At Day’s End

Today I consumed but did I sew

What actions did I provide the world

In exchange for what others grew

What have I forgiven that I be shriven

What roads have I traversed

Whose pedestrians I ignored

Whose needs were left unnursed

What have I provided that I be sated

What have I achieved this day

That marks me a Samaritan

What wounds did I not assuage

What have I done that I wish undone

Ooh, very St Francis Prayer meets Matthew 25. I cherish the tenor of this poem, and the words and cadence suit the theme admirably.
