Denouement

As my life begins its denouement

A calm pervades my quiet thoughts

Memories form orchestral movements

Preludes, scherzos, rondos waltzes

Rich music born of my escapades

blends softly with those of less than boast

Rendering sweeping serenades

Counterpointed more than most

I have lived a life of harlequin

Dark and light in equal measure

Gentle strings and booming din

In search of love life’s great treasure

Well put, Joe. You've lived a full life, it seems.

I'm a great one for lists, so I adore line four, and I love the closing stanza as well. Wowzers! Lotsa good stuff at the ol' bay these days!
