Just surfing the net on a lazy day

Alexandria’s Library

Being a nothing sort of day

I surfed among the cyber clouds

Wandering around in different planes

Far remote from the maddening crowds

Philip’s funeral and weather in Skye

Speed, fetch and track of the GulfStream

Sarongs in brilliant patterned tie dye

Pope Francis whom I hold in much esteem

Videos of lofty Norwegian Fiords

Palm fringed beaches of volcanic sand

Filigreed hilts of ancient swords

All this under my instant command

What wondrous learnings we have at hand

If only we could understand

The tool we have has many facets

To keep the noisesome racket tacit

Even more than does TV, the Internet provides you with whatever you want. In doing so, it distracts you from determining what you ought to want.
