A quick pantoum based on the word of the day from Merriam-Webster
Gormandize : to eat greedily, gluttonously, or ravenously : devour

A Feast of Fears

I'll gormandize and drink like a fish;
Don't judge me for my gluttonous ways.
A gigantic feast is my fervent wish,
Just drinking and eating for all of my days.

Don't judge me for my gluttonous ways;
You don't know me or know where I've been.
Just drinking and eating for all of my days
Is my only escape from the world that I'm in.

You don't know me or know where I've been,
So please just allow me to wallow away here.
Is my only escape from the world that I'm in
To consume and consume to avoid all my fear?

So please just allow me to wallow away here.
A gigantic feast is my fervent wish.
To consume and consume to avoid all my fear,
I'll gormandize and drink like a fish.

Lady Courtaire
Absolutely love this. I find pantoums to be incredibly challenging, and I think you've handled the form impressively well.

jim The PoetBay support member heart!
I like what you've done with a rather unappetizing word!
