Morpheus’ Potion

The lawn is cut the edging done

the garden watered against the sun

jake has had his morning run

'neath the chestnut this midday mon

day the hammock calls for rest among

the dappled shadows offering one

of this day's hidden benisons

to swing in easy resting motion

sleep providing morpheus' potion

Ah, nice one! A virtuosic display of rhyming! And the rhythm does not falter.
