A rather brief pantoum
Up early this morning and contemplating the peace of silence and stillness

There's calmness in that waking hour

There's calmness in that waking hour
Between the drought of consciousness
And when your outlook starts to sour
With jaded thoughts from too much stress.

Between the drought of consciousness
And floods of constant waking dreams
With jaded thoughts from too much stress,
A chance for calm just glistens, gleams:

Each day, just try to calmly rise
And when your outlook starts to sour,
Just stop and breathe and close your eyes:
There's calmness in that waking hour.

I'm truly impressed by your grasp of pantoum; you weave them together so deftly. A serene and lovely piece.

Not sure if I like the form but this was a nice. I like that time when you first wake up and are feeling reasonably okay. It doesn't last long though.
