A Tortured Soul.

My heart now bleeds and freezes over
Soft tears no longer run
The smile has fallen from my face
In shadows from the sun

The flame no longer burns as bright
But splutters in the dark
A lonesome wind that wails within
The confines of my heart

As sorrow takes its mournful toll
With savage like delight
To smother cries upon their mark
A tortured soul lost in the night.

Beautiful, mournful write. Wonder why I haven't read your works before!
"A lonesome wind that wails within
The confines of my heart"

"The flame no longer burns as bright
But splutters in the dark
A lonesome wind that wails within
The confines of my heart"

Oh, how the heart cries?
How the soul so moans,
How the anguish gnaws at my heart,
How the spirit drones...

***Hugs dear Graham for a very heart rending piece***
My heart cries for you...
Love, xxx, Zoya
