On the radio they have were playing the blues,
Hence this scribble.
There's a hole in my shoe.
Maybe that's why,
I've got the beer belly blues.
I decided to go out,
Being out of me brain.
In me brand new suite,
It started to rain.
And that is why,
I've got the beer belly blues.
An plenty to do,
The beer belly blues.
The rain came through,
The hole in me shoe.
Didn't make it to the pub,
Cause the rain came down
soaking me to,
And that is why,
I've got the beer belly blues.
An plenty to do,
The beer belly blues.
Got home early,
Took off me clothes an shoes.
stuck'm in wife's dryer,
Nothing else to do.
Wife an friends walked
In on me naked,
What else could I do.
Tried to cover up, but
There's a hole in my shoe.
And that is why,
I've got the beer belly blues.
And plenty to do,
The beer belly blues.
Now the wife's gone and left me,
Took the cat and dog too.
The house is nice an quite,
Nothing left for me to do.
And that is why,
I no longer have
the beer belly blues.
The beer belly blues.
(Thank you very much, Alan has left the building).
