When Next We Meet
Today you told me to remove a memory,of us from a time when we were happily,
together and naked and finding ourselves,
bound on a path to the gods and the elves.
With a closure of throat, as I relived them all,
I did as you said and watched them then fall,
letting them go as such, letting you go is a must,
since the thought of me to you brings disgust.
Old souls we still are, and much have we been,
through the lives we shared before this one back when,
we first had met many lifetimes ago,
and I can't believe you want me to let you go.
It breaks my heart to not be near you,
you've made up your mind, but you didn't have to,
make it this way, this way is not right,
there's no good reason to give up the fight.
For love it was, and for me it still is,
as I've let go the wrongs that were yours and his,
but the mistakes I've made are still in your head,
and as far as you're concerned, we're as good as dead.
Old souls we still are, and much have we been,
through the lives we shared before this one back when,
we first had met many lifetimes ago,
and I can't believe you'll have me to let you go.
We've been here before, many lifetimes ago,
where one of us had to let the other one go,
and how long will it be for us to next meet again,
in the life after this one, as lovers and friends.
I'm sure we'll know, when next we meet,
that fate has brought us back to see,
that through the many lives of Men,
Love will bring us back together again.
