it was after fifteen years ,i lit a candle in my room when it was dark ,switching off all lights of modern era. were it shadows of real or nostalgia that flickered on wall .

shadows on the wall

it had been years
since i lit a candle
today i lit one and
the nostalgia of times
gone by ,flashed on walls
as if memories came alive
i had forgotten how the
humble candle looks like
for my times have been
taken by chandeliers and lights artificial
my home looks shadowy golden
with flickering light
let the world look shadowy
for in bright light
things reveal reality

I'm sorry that I missed this when it was posted. It is really good that it has been given the accolade of 'frontpaging'. Deserves it.
