SOCKS (Additans)
Is it not strange, socks go into the washing masheen as - pairs
Even get on the drying horse in - pairs - put into the sock draw
In - pairs
Yet overnight - as if the socks - have sordid affairs - unknowingly
Had a wild night - swoping partners!
Come the morning - me half a sleep
I reach into the sock draw - pick out a pair of socks - from the previously night before
Put tidily in the sock draw, put on, and while listening to the radio
Finish dressing, ready for the day - what ever may occur that day!
Unknown to me the Sock Fairys had been about their mischief!
I were sat, having a series conversation, as you do
When my lady Freind, said: ' you've got odd socks on! ' 'did you know'
Now what could I Say at this embarrassing momant of time?
Feeling witless, I called upon my wit!
' Why' says I ' I have the same pair in my sock draw '
'It's the new trend!' - Very fashionable!
