from the galatean archive during the first days of Poetbay
let them dance to their tune
what they want they will have
they will serve my head on a platter
and will I breathe? it does not matter
I have done as I said
as asked I spoke the truth
You were right then: they did not believe
words having been uttered by a Youth
I know not about fear
I have no care for them
sixteen years of shame is all I bear
and know not what guilt nor what Life is
they may have now used me
when innocence works strong
it is well until we fade to years
we were brothers once in all and all
