Great All Souls Day by Ann Wood
Today is Great All Souls' Day, also called Mesopustna - the first All Souls' Day of the year, in which we honor the souls of the dead. It is also known as Ecumenical Requiem, because the souls of those who died suddenly, those who died during a long journey, in a fire, disasters, etc., are also honored there, because of which their relatives did not have the opportunity to dispose of them properly. This is also their Ascension, with which we may beg mercy for their souls and forgiveness of their sins.🙏🌠🙏
God of spirits and of all flesh, Who trampled death, destroyed the devil and gave life to Your world!
You alone, Lord, rest the souls of your deceased servants, all my loved ones, in a bright place, in a grainy place, in a cool place, where there is no pain, sorrow and sighing.
Every sin they have committed in word, or deed, or thought, forgive, as a good and human-loving God, for there is no man who lives and does not sin. You alone, Lord, are without sin: Your righteousness is eternal righteousness, and Your word is truth.
Because You are the resurrection, the life and the rest of Your dead servants, Christ our God, and therefore we give You glory with Your beginningless Father and Your most holy, good and life-giving Spirit, now and always and to the ages of ages.
Amen. 🙏❤️😢🌠❤️🙏
