Late Winter Antidote

I find myself disturbed today

A nibbling sense of not quite right

Was it the pesky aggressive jay

Or my pant waist just a tad too tight

Late winter is a cranky time

Spring is slow overlong arriving

Cold winds snow and white frost rime

All old tattered and disconcerting

Seems I’m pondering finicky things

Rather than visions of more positive bent

Musing on seeds bulbs and gardening

Will change my thoughts to heaven sent

Late winter and slow spring, Joe, that's usually here too. It is annoying. Good poem.

Much to admire here, Joe. The first stanza's rhymes induced the broadest smile!
