You meet someone for the first time, you want to make her your companion for life, yet the question haunts you

Your untrue eyes

You sit with me across
The table large end
Chairs are drawn
And now we face
Each other with fake smiles
May be to break the ice
Or to pass the time
You look so true
And the person
I am searching for
Your words are clear
And you seem so much simple
Is it that simple to take you
True and real
Or maybe I know
You had complex things
hidden agendas
When you walked back home

That's a sad tale, told in your poem. I was left with the thought that we are all complex beings and do not always feel confident enough to expose our 'hidden' agendas - which need not necessarily by bad. Blessings, Allen
