because I have learned to work with silence
Being vulnerable was a simple weakness,
but you're awful quiet now
Couldn't speak without casting a tumultuous storm
Yeah, they'll say the Lord's moving his furniture again
- Ready for another justified flood -
but it is just the sound of you echoing off the walls
You beat the life from my eyes
to make it to tomorrow morning
It is a temporary relief, must be,
or maybe you've mistaken pain for bonding
It will be cracked up to be a misunderstanding
Days from now
I will agree - I need to think before I speak
I have been far too much and far too weak
I have grown up to be lost
Tripping over all these repressed thoughts
Thinking I could never quite articulate my own feelings
I take the blame too easily
