Happy St Peters Day by Ann Wood

Ha, good morning and on St. Peter's Day, daughter... Today we get up early. Apples are brought to the church. When the priest sings them, they are given to relatives and neighbors for health. Mostly, daughter, women whose children have died do it. Thus, they believe that their children in the other world have something to eat and are not hungry. There is a belief that in the middle of the Garden of Eden, where St. Peter is the master, a large apple tree grows. Around him, like flies, the souls of children circle. If their mothers on earth give apples for health to others, St. Peter plucks from the fruits of the paradise tree and gives them to the children. According to folk songs, daughter, the two saints Peter and Paul are twin brothers. Peter, however, is more powerful and the bearer of light and goodness. At the division of the world, it fell to him to hold the keys to the gates of heaven. He is the judge of human sins. Well, today is his holiday, St. Peter's. In his honor, a St. Peter's chicken is slaughtered and a sacrifice is offered to him. Ritual undressing and farewell of the young brides by the best men is done. And the tradition dictates that special dishes should be put on the Peter's table, right? The Peter's fasts are already over. This fresh pita, this patty with butter and cheese, this roast chicken, but the most important is kutmacha or "white man" as he is called. The special dish is a daughter, fried in butter and flour, whipped fresh cheese. You will like it very much. Let me show you how it's done...
