if given the choice

if given the choice
would you silence your voice
for your weight in gold?
if you could choose
would you purposely lose
for the sake of not doing as you're told?
or would you stand up and fight
start a revolution to keep your right
the youth of the nation
the result of inflation
the next generation
the latest creation.

the future lays within their hand
that, i hope, they understand
