Well, I am most certainly
Not ready for the next dream -
Not while I have the Love
Of my beautiful wife and the zest
For living through this one!
That said, why I don't know,
That interspace between awake
And asleep has recently given
Raise to interesting interludes
That are like snippets of other
Dreams, other lives, in which
I am involuntarily plunged
And as quickly dragged out again.
It's interesting... probably brought
About by my incarceration.
I call it that because who
In their right mind would
Happily succumb to hospitalization?
Maybe it is just me
Overthinking the problem?
