We were in a crowded grocery store, bustling on the third
His head jerked - towards mine, eyes wide, lips pursed
“Don’t yell in here!”
But he was yelling
“I can whisper it just for you, if you’d like -
But you’ll have to come closer so you can hear it.”
He sauntered my way, as if we were about to gossip,
and when he leaned his ear in, I nipped it gently
Talk about a sound
