decided to release this from my diary today
(some will say that
I have never been there
but I know the landscape
from the inside of my eyes
the house
with the frail railing
and the grass
the way the seasons shaped its texture neath my feet
as I run to you
often at night
expanding our kingdom
while holding hands
a little too tight
waiting for you lifting my hair
with the warmth from your presence
and entering your eyes
with the profound sadness
revealing your knowledge
about our limited time
parting shaking lips
into the stolen universe we share
and as I write this I can smell you
caught in my every fibre
what have we done to deserve this
my love
or is it that we found a way
beyond time
it could not part us
beneath closed eyes
waiting for you)
