We never seem to learn...

The Fight for the right to fight, apparently...

When the hunter gatherers took to farming
Then began to fence off "their" land
that act itself was the birth of wars
When Others protested with sickle in hand

But these Lands became first their territories
That grew into Countries and Nations with ease
And the wars multiplied in their ferocity
Neighbours greed that they could not appease

Then Borders got tighter and defended with zeal
Venture not into this foreign field
The weapons we have would lay you to waste
But their secrets we will never reveal

The present day is reliving the past
Lobbing missiles and death at each other
Borders are breached and wars are declared
Till human beings will survive no further.

How true! And when the last man has departed this planet and nature takes back complete control, the first thing that will be noticed is that the whole planet is free to roam (by what and by whom I haven't a clue but they say even after an atomic war the cockroaches will survive!) Blessings, Allen
