Here comes January, and with it the new year, and we open a new page on the calendar.January started with the cold weather for the season, we even had snow yesterday, but it melted from the torrential rain this morning.
January is my birthday month, and I will soon be fifty, half a century old.
January is filled with holidays from its first day to the end.
Basil's Day, Ivan's Day, Jordan's Day, St. Antoinette's Day, Anton's Day, Athanasius' Day, followed by Babin's Day and many other holidays.
According to old custom, tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the Orthodox Church celebrates Christmas.
