This makes me reflect on how some people take their beliefs as truth instead of basing their basis of truth on scientific facts... and how that's become a serious source of contention creating hostile arguments on things which shouldn't be debates. This is a more frequent occurrence nowadays since the pandemic and all the other crazy stuff happening at the same time... for my part, I'm finding it all a bit disillusioning. But I guess it depends on one's definition of truth, 'cause evidently truth is very subjective. Anyway, just where my thoughts went with your words... thanks for sharing yours.
