War, you said

How, without remorse
She used the word 'War'
Man has waged a war with nature, she said
To utter these words
twice in a hall full of people
my ears pulled away
and my body shut down
Such is the impact of this
three lettered word
And she uttered with such ease
as if this was the place or the arena
Just because, may be she assumed
The people before her
have use of this word
but they have none, you see.
The war uses us.
and i want to
ask you now
- Why would you choose that word
"war" to explain the man's relationship
with nature in the
'Anthropocene' age.

And i want to point out too
- do you not think
the difficult times
unite us too and that
its the rigour, more than anything else
in the world,
which carries us through.
