Flash Flood Warning in Lafayette

You're not supposed to use the roads just yet in Lafayette.
It rained insanely overnight, and, even on the driest days,
This town is barely out of water. Bodies can't be buried
Here. They're sealed into aboveground crypts. The highway
East to Baton Rouge runs through a swamp which has
No end. You want to eat? Forget the beef and feast
On fine aquatic food: oysters, crawdads, catfish, shrimp,
And as you do, you'll hear the music, Cajun French
And Zydeco, and, though it's too bad that you're stranded,
You'll be alright here.

I'm sure I would - with your guidance of course. I would be like a fish out of water otherwise. "scuse the pun. Blessings, Allen
