... another unfinished ocean of words and thoughts. The title is from a movie I once saw with the person this poem is written about ...
And even though you changed your mind
It's still chasing you
I saw you last night
I stood right behind you
But as you were leaving, you went the other way
You knew I was there, didn't you?
You felt sorry for me
You always do
That's why you pretended you didn't see me
I now this hurts you the same
And I know it's a pain in your heart to turn me down
That's why I always smile at you
Trying to pretend I moved on
But it's all the things we don't say to each other that kill our relationship
All the unsaid
The secrets
It tears us apart
Even from just being friends
Like as if we wouldn't have managed to screw it up on our own
At least it's a good excuse for me to put it this way
