I wrote this about some people i used to know...

The Pretty People

You don't remember me.
You sip your tea
In the finest china
Live in a house without a driveway.
Why would you want to?
You have the world at your feet
served on a platter with lemon
A sprig of greenery to add a touch
You don't regard
bottom layers of the cake
Just eat them with toast and
champagne, bubbles overflowing
Suds in the bath you soak in,
Drowning, hands up
Gasping for air in that artificial realm

Oh I loved this..the lines about disregarding the bottom layers of the cake, a metaphor? How we disregard those of us who have less..pitiful, and I hope to never be among them. Every soul has value and worth. I found this to be absolutley wonderful in every way. Barbie
