about finding something from nothing
It stands out like water in a desert
Shadows moving along walls adjacent
Water jumping in the air
My ears are filled with heartbreak
Notes that drip like honey
Into the wealth of my ideas
Upstrokes, downstrokes, timing
Like dancing at a funeral
Painting white into black
Plant life into concrete
Bliss into pain
Solid colours surround me
There is no multicoloured mural
So my eyes have to readjust
each time I look up
Things aren't staying in place
The vacuum is reversed and
people are running backwards
To where it all began
Flying impossibly,
Losing what was had
Stepping through tunnels dark and wide
But seeing the light again

Catharsis
Movement is rareIt stands out like water in a desert
Shadows moving along walls adjacent
Water jumping in the air
My ears are filled with heartbreak
Notes that drip like honey
Into the wealth of my ideas
Upstrokes, downstrokes, timing
Like dancing at a funeral
Painting white into black
Plant life into concrete
