But I survived to write anothers name
On Lonely Beaches I wrote Your Name by M.A.Meddings
I walked on lonely beachesAnd watched the sadness in empty skies
Then in barefoot reflection
I paced the swishing edge
Of wave crashed jetsum
Seaching the debris of life
Until I found it
A razor edged shell
It seemed perfect
And thus at the high mark
Of a tide run
In the compacted sand
I wrote your name
Then dreamed that you might come to me
And resting within my lonliness
You would
Soothe the hurt of other summers
But on forlorn hopes I waited
As they became dashed with each
Succeeding; pulsing wave
Until eventually
Your name was washed from the sand
But not out of my heart
