i was sitting waiting for a bus, thinking about hypocrisy and contradiction
Start, stop
Drip drop
The rain is falling down
In puddles far as I can see
Making me want not to be
Along this winding road.
Tick tock
Throw a rock
Through someone else's windscreen
To feel alive
Not be deprived
Of what's so hard to gather
See-saw
Brick walls
Hang like the colosseum
With fences round
To stop a crowd
Writing the mixed messages
And I'm falling
Through cracks in glass
Wishing feelings would not last
Watching people creeping out of shadows
Carrying no monkeys
Just the weight of their dreams
Light threatens to blind me
No-one dares to find me
There's a grass corridor
Between two paths of transport
But I'm on one side
With eyes on past and future
So time flicks by
Switched on by pain
And magnets unwanted
That strip to the core
Revealing what has thus far been covered
And making stability a game
