We Are The Catalyst.

As I sit upon this lonely knoll
I cast my eyes across the land
And think of all the innocents
Whose blood now soaks the sand

Caught up in untold violence
All the terror and the pain
The cost and waste of human life
As each side rejects the blame

We are such fickle creatures
All to quick to go to war
To maim and kill and torture
Blood lust attracting more

One day the world will pay the price
As we create the catalyst
For all the blood and slaughter
Then mankind will not exist.

Doomsday-profecy!
That was a long time ago.
Anyway:
I believe that wars are here to stay.
It's not up to human intelligence, it's about feromones.
And every war is started by a woman.
That's a fact.
I think that we should re-establish the traditional family values, so that women can't spend time fighting in politics.
These values don't stop war, but could perhaps turn the clock back, to the times when swords were used.
I know.
Crazy thougts.
But crazy thoughts are better than nothing.
Men of to day let's women do the thinking... :)

.
This is truly wonderful writing. Your words are almost whispered but are also hard hitting and make us think about the horrors we create in this life.

Oh, Graham this is a beautifully written profound piece of poetry. I have missed your touch of the pen so much. But, when you write them, I am just awed! My heart cries out for this world we live in. Peace can come only through love. But it seems love is smothered by so much hatred. I will continue to love. Each one of us can surely do that here on this site. Just love. Maybe we can change the world one heart-felt love at a time. kathy Bookmarked/favs!

Where is our Ghandi?, Where is our MLK?, I believe that it is time we take up the torch now. Good Job!
