This is a version of a poem that I did about wishing upon a star to change the things that have affected us all.

I Wish Upon A Star

I look up where you are bright star,
and I wish from afar.
I wished that there had not been that day in Dallas.
When a man went to a bookstore and was callous.
I wish that there had never been a thing called cancer,
and made me become a dancer.

I wished that somehow I could take back,
the day that the planes were used in an attack.
I especially wished that I could just tell,
all the soldiers of old to just live and be well.

But then I know that what I have wished,
is that none of them would be missed.
But just right now I also know this day.
That instead of wishing I can kneel down and pray.
