i think i was sitting listening to someone trying to make themselves sound like they knew something, and was very disillusioned with what was happening around me
"A spirit of national masochism prevails, encouraged by an effete corps of impudent snobs who characterize themselves as intellectuals"- Spiro T. Agnew
My aim is at the clock
Rationality left long ago.
Always uphold the ends, the back
Don't move too fast anymore.
Speeches to fall asleep to
You know it's going to hurt
Consequences abound
Risk feels way too good
What's the point when none is legible
And audibility is overtly voluntary.
Save yourself now
If you walk over I shall leave
Embark on a mutiny
To clear my stomach of peanuts,
And society for that matter.
Forget about it
No evidence of salt
-false advertisement
But embellishment is so popular these days
It works such a treat
Wake up fools!
What you wish for
(Wish earmuffs were mine)
Somehow makes its way to others.
No-one likes admitting they're wrong.
