Fly Away Angel
Fly away dear angelfly on your new wings.
Go on up there to heaven,
where the angels sing.
Your time on earth was short,
but oh so meaningful.
Time can only heal the wounds,
and I whisper to your parents in a lull.
Take a piece of love with you,
to carry you on.
Tears are silently rolling down,
as we bid you go home.
The stars are waving welcome
to you beautiful child.
We are sure the gates are open,
by the Savior mild.
So fly away dear angel,
fly on your new wings.
Go on up there to heaven,
where the angels sing.
