The Joys of Summer
The joys of summer are so wonderful!Sunshine, rain and rainbows in the blue sky!
Then you see people out in the yard
Playing with their children.
And there are women with thier husbands
And they're having fun at picnics.
Hotdogs, hamburgers and cokes!
Then the boys and girls go out in the woods
And admire all of the animals.
"Look! There's a deer!" cries one of the boys.
So when the boys and girls come back,
They tell their parents about all of the animals.
Then the children take the parents
To where they saw all the animals.
The parents and children enjoy the wonderful visit.
So they name the woods "Sunshine",
Because of the wonderful sunshine!
After the they get back, the boys and girls
Play games like hopscotch and tag!
Then the children go out under the tree and lay down.
They dream dreams,
They dream of far away lands,
They dream of leprechauns.
Then they wake up and there stands a leprechaun!
"Children, do you believe in leprechauns?" he asks.
"Yes!" they say together.
And then he gives them a pot of gold!
And they thank him.
