The Girl At Twenty by M.A.Meddings
Just as beautiful the younger youThen so dazzling was your smile
And oh how dark those cinnamon eyes
That sparkled with fire and beguiled
But in sadness there seemed
A set to your mouth
And the sorrow I see in your youth
E'en though I would kiss those soft parted lips
I am stunned by the rapture of you
There is soft silken hair just framing your face
A darkening shade on your brow
Had I known you just then
I would love you again
So completely as I even do now
