The Secret by M.A.Meddings

T H Lawrence viz: Lawrence of Arabia did a trick whereby he demonstrated his self control by holding a burning match until it burnt his fingers. At that point he did not flinch. Instead he held on not showing any pain. Eventually two Arab boys asked him how did he stop it hurting, what was his secret?

His reply

'My secret Is not minding that it hurts'.

How can you stop it from hurting
Is it possible to kill all the pain
Will sombody say is there a way
A secret that I cannot find

Oh yes said the man
Your are not alone
The secret is there for thee
It is not magic be it ever so tragic
Its not minding the pain
Dont you see.

As one that has endured much heartache and pain..I can well say I understand this truth completely. There are some loves so great that to ease the pain would surely lessen the fire and passion one had experienced. Let the passion burn I say...it has it's own reward. A intense and beautiful piece Michael.

'It is not minding the pain'
Don't you see?'
Exactly Mike!
Only if we could...
Somebody give me that power please!
I would be the happiest on earth!

we can never stop the pain, untill it fades away, the more we push the pain away, the stronger it gets... so let the pain fade away...!!!
