i wrote this the day before valentine's day...pondering the realm of the heart
Music pulsates through my ears melodic
Violins execute their mournful song
Strings cutting though my thudding, unstrung heart
Piercing through silence like a red bullet.
The paper's full of declarations bold
Hoping their love will turn the page and see
All the thoughts that may have been left unsaid
When fate threw a curved ball in happiness.
I sit in my velvet chair pondering
Those whose hook I escaped from long ago
If I should have persevered with promise,
Been content with imperfection but hope.
So my soul cries out for the brazen thief
Will you be my valentine, just be mine?

Valentine
Music pulsates through my ears melodic
Violins execute their mournful song
Strings cutting though my thudding, unstrung heart
Piercing through silence like a red bullet.
The paper's full of declarations bold
Hoping their love will turn the page and see
All the thoughts that may have been left unsaid

So my soul cries out for the brazen thief
