911 Challenge Of Hope
If on this day you remember the losses,I would ask you to look around you and see.
Is there a neighbor in need?
Then reach out there to do a kind deed.
Do someone a kindness in memory of them.
You will help more than just one person.
Do it for no reason other than it is the right thing to do.
For we cannot be defeated if we only try,
to help one another when we cry.
Does someone need you to cut their grass?
Maybe the neighbor needs a ride to the store.
Perhaps a mother needs you to watch her child.
It would make you feel better about the world,
if you just reach out and help someone.
I am not going to brag myself, because
I thought about it today.
A neighbor across the way, son got hurt
yesterday.
So she needed to have her grass cut,
and my husband did.
Just down the road was a tractor-trailer truck,
stuck in a rut.
It did not matter why, but others helped him
get out.
The evil that flew in those planes,
thought that they could bring us down.
In some ways they were right but in a
different way.
We hit our knees in prayer, so on this day and
others like it, let us pray to help someone,
somwhere along the way.
