for those who only live in bittersweetness.

temptation of the great red dragon

he is the carnal serpent
writhing with lust
with a tongue
that flickers
both deception
and
trust.

his intensity causes nausea
averting eyes
pressing lips to
a raping mouth.

lashing like a whip,
a mouth pouring red
red like
exposed secrets.
he asks,

what do you see?

( i see,
i see a bloodied ecstasy
staring back at me.)

he twists the corners of your perception
into a wicked smile.
i'm only here to rape your soul.
it screams to be defiled.

every breath
horrible
and
visceral
your happiness
is tortured
yet beautiful.

thank you very much. i was inspired by William Blake's painting of the angel with the red dragon standing over her.

Dark, wicked write. I especially like the line "a mouth pouring red, red like
exposed secrets."
