Misunderstandings Make Mistakes
You never knowwhat you say
may hurt someone
on a given day
never mind if you
haven't a clue
if you've offended
or been untrue,
words mean things
differently it seems
to different people
with different dreams
in different places
in different times
in different schemes
in different rhymes
humor to some
means hurt to others
strangers don't know you
likes sisters or brothers,
but try not to look
to take offense
try to see
past the difference
most mean good
most are kind
most want the best
that's what I find
let go of perceptions
that may be wrong
you may have
heard a different song
than the one
that was actually sung
some actions taken
can't be undone.
