This is an old text i wrote several years ago. I found it the other day and something reached me, I felt I could still relate to it. It's far from the best poem, but still I think, and hope others can relate to it as well.

Echoes

Is that an echo
I see in your eye?
Where have I heard it before?
When feeling lonely,
I think.
When being sad,
I believe.

Have you ever seen me
dance alone?
Are there ways to escape me?
I see tears on the sky
melting into cubes of which
I drink your life.

But when the shadows
abort my landscape,
I loose my faith,
my willingness to go without you.
Because when you dance as well,
I don't feel so afraid.
