why are people so apathetic? i am in awe of this uncaring heartlessness, because i feel so much...

but maybe i'm lucky, maybe i'm cursed...

but at least i feel.

apathetic

lonely tin cans on the beaches
with tin men who are not quite themselves
killing air, our breakfast, their dinner
maybe to you it's all quite the same

but i wonder,

who is leading this revolution?
industrialization of a land that's been taken
we're all slaves of the soil now
bare your teeth, you might scrape it by
holy hell! yeah, that's the address...
broken mirrors, trash and bodies pave the way
to what we will become

just a bunch of shells,
among the tin cans in the sand
let the waves roll in, roll on by
where are we going now?

Wow--this is ever so thought-provoking. The imagery is unreal..everything is so raw and emotional. Brillant job!

true true.

where is the world going now? and why is everyone standing watching, doing nothing. hm.

'holy hell! yeah, that's the address'

hehe, ironic but sadly true.

'let the waves roll in, roll on by
where are we going now? '

is a very nice ending to a poem for our time.
