Holding on till the last seconds
These feeling trapped deep inside, this body I cannot hideEvery time I try to get you here
You seem distant never near
I wished you wouldn't slip from my hand
Can never keep hold of you you're just like sand
You squeeze tight and watch grain-by-grain fall away to the ground
Hitting without a sound
Trying to keep them tight
You put up a grand fight
Just to keep them in you hand
Even though you know it wont last they'll eventually hit land
But you don't care, as long as your there
To watch the last one fall
As you stand tall
Watching the last grain in pain
For once it's over it'll never repeat
Like the last sound of a dieing heartbeat
